There are natural remedies perfect for every type of floor, you need to know well the material your tiles are made of. Preparing natural and DIY cleaners is super easy, are you curious to know step by step how to do it? All you have to do is discover 3 perfect recipes to have gorgeous floors!

Baking soda and bar soap

The first natural detergent I can’t handily recommend is the one made with baking soda and bar soap, two perfect ingredients when used together! Let’s see right now in detail how to make them for perfect floors. I recommend this remedy especially on wood, marble or natural stone. Although they are very delicate, they can benefit from the cleaning action of the two elements.

  • 2 tablespoons of bar soap
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 3 cups of water

If you have solid bar soap, the first thing to do is to melt the required amount in a water bath and gradually add the baking soda so that you have a homogeneous mixture. Next, dilute the resulting mixture in water, pour into a bottle and shake several times to mix all the ingredients well. All you have to do at this point is to put 2 tablespoons of it in the bucket for washing on the floor and that’s it!

Vinegar and Lemon

Vinegar and lemon are also a great combo in the home for lots of different reasons, among them we find washing floors. Both have a natural predisposition to make all surfaces they are used on shiny, so choosing them is the way to go! I recommend this remedy especially on terracotta and porcelain tile.

  • 1 cup of lemon juice
  • 2 cups vinegar (I recommend white vinegar, but any type will do)
  • 3 cups of water

Well, first filter the lemon juice very well, removing all the little seeds. Then all you have to do is combine it with the vinegar and then with the water. With the help of a funnel, transfer everything inside a bottle convenient for you and use a scoop of the product at each wash. You will smell the freshest scent!

Rock salt and apple cider vinegar

The last natural cleaner that is very good for floors is one with coarse salt and apple cider vinegar! Apple cider vinegar is especially effective on darker floors such as the red tiles outside the balcony, as well as on porcelain and terra cotta tiles. Do not use the remedy on marble or natural stone.

  • 3 tablespoons coarse salt
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 3 cups water

Put the vinegar in a small saucepan and let it heat, then add the tablespoons of salt, which should dissolve completely in the vinegar. Once this step is done, wait for it to cool a bit and then add it to the water. That’s it, your natural cleaner is ready! All you have to do is put 1 scoop in the bucket every time you wash, and your floor will be perfect!

I remind you to try the remedies described above on unseen corners so you can be sure not to stain or damage the floor.
