Here is what you need before going ahead:

  • 4 teaspoons of baking soda
  • Water
  • 10 bay leaves

The old fashion method:

Fill a big pot halfway with water, place it on the fire, and bring it to a boil with the ten bay leaves and four spoons of baking soda. Once the water has reached a boil, reduce the heat to low and cook for another twenty minutes, or until the baking soda and bay leaves have released their qualities.

Allow it to cool for 20 minutes before pouring it into a bowl. Put the clothing that need to be treated in the bowl and soak them for 24 hours.

Squeeze the garments gently the next day and wash them as usual, either by hand or in the washing machine, depending on the fabric. When the procedure is completed,

Salt, for example, is fantastic. Simply dissolve half a cup of salt in water, soak the clothes for a day, and then wash as usual.

Apple cider vinegar is another popular replacement for bay leaves. A bowl of water and a cup of apple cider vinegar are all you need. Soak the clothing by dipping them in the water. Then it’s time to do the laundry.

The final option is to use black tea as an alternative. A sachet of black tea brewed in a cup for a few minutes is required. Pour everything into a dish and soak the resurrected clothing in it. Proceed with the washing for the other techniques.
