In the bathroom you should always keep everything clean and shiny, although sometimes it is difficult because of limescale and halos. Especially the toilet, the element in which the flush water flows, is to be kept constantly under control. When it is too encrusted, you can make it as good as new by using an ingredient you definitely have in your house, I am talking about lemon!
Prepare the natural cleaner
The first thing to do is to prepare a natural cleaner with lemon that can then be used to clean the whole bathroom. Let’s see together right now how to do it!
Ingredients:
The ingredients are few and you can find them already at home! In detail you will need:
- Juice of 3 large lemons (about 1 cup of lemon juice)
- 1 cup of apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups of water
- Spray bottle
These are just the ideal ingredients for no more stains on the inside of the toilet and for smelling it every day! The vinegar is optional, but it increases the cleaning power and together with the lemon forms a perfect match.
Procedure:
You will simply have to strain the juice of the lemons very well so that no pulp or seeds are left behind. Then add the water and the vinegar, after which pour everything inside the spray bottle with the help of a funnel and shake a bit to make it all one solution. That’s it, your super effective lemon cleanser is ready! All that’s left is to see what to use it for so that your toilet is clean and good as new again!
For limescale
Limescale is one of the most recurring things not only in the toilet, but inside the entire bathroom. That’s why removing it every day and counteracting its appearance is of paramount importance so as not to make the stains worse. So, spray a generous amount of the mixture into the inner bowl of the toilet and let it sit for a while, scrub with a toilet brush and rinse. Then flush the rest of the toilet by spraying the natural cleaner on the sponge and that’s it!
For yellow streaks
Still on the subject of limescale, we can say that when this increases too much, yellow streaks form. Such manifestations of dirt occur due to deposits from the drain water, but they can be easily sent away by using lemon cleaner! Spray a large amount on the affected area and, to increase the effectiveness, I recommend sprinkling a handful of fine salt as well. At this point, leave it overnight, the next day then scrub with a broom and rinse.
Bad odors
Finally, I recommend lemon against the bad odors that can often be smelled from the toilet. You will have to prepare the mixture mentioned earlier without putting it in a spray bottle, but pouring it into a bucket with boiling water. Pour it all inside the toilet and leave it like that for a few hours, then flush and you will see that all the bad smells will be gone in no time!
