How to Make Homemade Glass Cleaner

Cleaning windows and glass is so important to make your home shine through natural sunlight! Often, however, things don’t go as we would like, and about ten minutes after a good cleaning we find that there are very annoying halos. If this has happened to you, don’t worry! Today we will see together how to say goodbye to window and glass halos with simple and effective remedies!

N.B. If you are in a hurry, in all the proposed methods you can help yourself with a handy squeegee!

  • Vinegar

As a first remedy I really recommend vinegar! This is great because it allows you to thoroughly clean the glass without necessarily having to rinse. All you will need to do is fill a steamer 3 parts with vinegar and the remaining part with water. Then spray the mixture on the glass and windows, wipe with a cotton cloth, and goodbye halos!

  • Lemon juice

Similar to vinegar, lemon juice is also perfect for making windows shine without having the worry of halos! If you choose it, you will also spread a fresh and intoxicating scent throughout the house, so let’s see how to use it right away. You will need to press the juice of 2 large lemons and combine it with one cup and a half of water, then transfer the resulting mixture to a spray bottle and spray on the glass. Again, you can avoid rinsing and just wipe with a cotton cloth making circular motions.

  • Baking soda

Baking soda is great not only for saying goodbye to halos, but also for cleaning very dirty glass! Many people choose it every day in household chores, so let’s take a quick look at how it can help. Dissolve 1 heaped tablespoon of baking soda in a bowl with 2 cups of water. Dip a microfiber cloth in the solution and wipe it over the glass, then wipe it off immediately with a cotton cloth and you will get perfect glass!

  • Organic soap

Organic soap is also among the favorite remedies to get streak-free and super shiny glass, do you know how to use it? I’ll explain it right now! Simply dissolve 1 tablespoon of soap flakes (if you have the liquid one, take the same amount) in 2 cups and a half of water and put it all in a vaporizer. Spray the mixture on a damp sponge and make an initial wipe on the glass, then proceed by rinsing with a microfiber cloth and drying thoroughly. You will see how good it smells and how clean it is!

  • Yellow soap

Yellow soap could not be missing from our roll call, great for making glass shine like never before! Some people choose it for very dirty and rain-encrusted windows because it can clean thoroughly. You will need to take 1 pellet of product and spread it on a soft sponge, then rub it on the glass and rinse with plenty of water. Remember to dry thoroughly so there are no halos!

  • Talcum Powder

Last but much appreciated remedy is talcum powder! It might be strange to some, but in fact there are so many people who choose this powder to have perfect glasses. You will have to use it by dissolving 1 tablespoon of the product in 3 cups of water, all then to be poured into a spray bottle. Then spray on the glass and wipe directly with a dry cloth.

  • Warnings

Try the remedies described above in non-visible corners so as to make sure you do not damage the glass.
