Perfuming the whole house is one of the priorities we give ourselves every day to make the environment always fresh and cozy. In addition to natural perfumers, there are plenty of methods that can be taken advantage of that we would never expect! One of them is curtains, that is, how to make the most of them to spread an intoxicating smell around the house starting with washing. Are you curious to learn more? You just have to discover these tricks with me!
Washing
Let’s see what to do first of all when washing curtains, which is the most important step! There are some curtains that can be machine washed, but you will always have to make sure by reading the instructions on the washing labels. Anyway, if they can go in the washing machine, I recommend washing them with 1 scoop of baking soda put inside the drum and 1 tablespoon of organic soap to put inside the detergent tub. The combination of these two ingredients will get you super fragrant and soft curtains! On the other hand, if you wash them by hand, fill the tub with warm water and pour in 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of organic soap. Let them soak overnight, then rinse several times and that’s it! You will have gotten perfect curtains!
Drying
Drying the curtains is extremely important in order to spread a good scent in the house! In fact, you may know that it is always recommended to dry them vertically, but why not already mount them near the balconies while they are still wet? This way they will spread all the smell they got during washing, and it will last a long time! Moreover, this is also the best way to make them dry properly without risking yellowing them with sunlight or making them smell.
