Summer, long outdoor dinners, candles, their dim light and wax stains on clothes or tablecloth! Romance seems to have an unpleasant backstory!
Here, then, we are assailed by despondency: how can we remove all traces and restore our beloved clothes or fabrics to their former glory?
There are many ways to go, but to achieve appreciable results, follow our advice step by step. Arm yourself with patience and don’t be afraid: you won’t fail and you will be able to show off your perfect look in no time, cleaned of every last trace.
Ready? Let’s get started!
Wax stains on clothes: do this and not even a shadow will remain!
The very first rule to succeed in the task is not to act on the wax while it is still hot.
And do not resort to cold water to remove it.
Wait until it solidifies completely, then with a strictly round-tipped knife, try to slowly lift off the crust that has formed. Make slow, precise movements.
Not convinced? Then try paper towels and a hair dryer.
Turn it on to the highest temperature and bring it close to the stain, keeping a distance of 4 inches as a minimum. With the paper towel dab the wax as it melts through the heat.
If, on the other hand, you want to go the more common and classic route, grab the iron. Lay a cotton cloth over the traces of wax and iron with the lukewarm soleplate. The process for you to remove the stains is identical to that of the hair dryer, the temperature will melt the wax and the cotton will absorb it.
Now all you have to do is wash your garment, either by hand or in the washing machine, as you prefer or as directed on the label. Once dry, not even the halo will remain.
All that remains is for you to decide which method to adopt and take action to remedy this little summer snag! Don’t hesitate to try it!
