The Best DIY Streak-Free Window and Mirror Glass Cleaner

One of the things that waste our time most in the home is definitely the windows and mirrors. Although they don’t require much effort basically, there is to say that because of water stains and halos they trap us during household chores! Not to mention when they become particularly encrusted, especially the glass after a dirty rainy day, it becomes a real nightmare. In this regard, today we will see together how to prepare a natural remedy with just a few ingredients to get your windows and mirrors perfectly clean and shiny in no time!

Ingredients

Let’s first find out what ingredients you need to have your windows always shiny and perfectly clean! Don’t worry, you will need natural products that you will surely have at home. Here they are in detail:

  • 1 tablespoon of talcum powder
  • 1 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cups of water

Although it may sound strange, talcum powder is very popular in natural recipes for polishing glass and mirrors. Vinegar is already confirmed as the perfect ingredient to make these surfaces shine even without rinsing! Not surprisingly, it is not only used on glass surfaces, but also on steel surfaces where it gives its best by making it shine like never before. You can use any type of vinegar, however apple vinegar, along with talcum powder, will give a greater touch of fragrance and freshness.

Procedure

Without much ado, let’s go straight to the procedure of our cleanser composed only of natural elements! First, you will have to dissolve the tablespoon of talcum powder in the vinegar until they become one solution. You will see that the talcum powder tends to spread everywhere and make lumps, so I recommend using a funnel, otherwise you will also risk wasting it. Next, add the water as well and stir vigorously to make everything into one solution. If any bits of talcum powder remain, don’t worry, it will dissolve as it goes. Once everything has been transferred to a steamer, spray all the glass and mirrors, after which wipe directly with a clean cotton cloth.

N.B. Before using the natural cleaner again, shake it because the talcum powder tends to settle to the bottom.

Other methods for glass

The remedy we have seen is already enough to make all glass and mirrors shine, but let’s also look at other methods you can keep on hand at all times! Again, we are talking about natural products that everyone has at home and can therefore use to their advantage!

  • Yellow soap:

To use when you have particularly dirty glass and mirrors, just spread a small ball of product on a sponge and degrease in circular motions, then rinse with a microfiber cloth.

  • Lemon juice:

An effective and fragrant ingredient, dilute 1 glass of lemon juice in half a quart of water and spray on the glass, just wipe with a cotton cloth and there you go!

  • Baking soda:

Great in any case, you will need to dilute 1 tablespoon of the product in a vaporizer with water and a few drops of essential oil if you want a good scent.

  • Bar soap:

Pour 1 teaspoon into a vaporizer with water along with the juice of 1 lemon and you’ve got a perfect glass cleaner!

Warnings

Try the remedies first on unseen corners so as not to damage glass and mirrors.
