If you have a yard or garden around your home, you know that between spring and summer one of the most annoying problems is the uncontrolled growth of weeds.
Is there a way to get rid of them without being forced to use chemicals that are more or less harmful to health and/or the environment?
It surely exists. There are already environmentally friendly herbicides on the market, but if you want to, you can solve the problem by making your own herbicide at home that is not only very effective but also harmless to your health.

Before we see how to prepare it, just a remark: often the grass that grows in the middle of the tiles in our yards is not really a weed, but it has such characteristics as to function as an insect repellent.
Other types of “weeds” are really weeds in the sense that they attract pests that damage the plants in your garden.
Now, once you have decided to eliminate the actual weeds, you can do so by preparing a natural weed killer with these ingredients in these quantities:
- 5 litters of water
- 1 litter of vinegar
- 1 kilo of fine salt
You proceed as follows:
The first thing is to dissolve the salt in water, after that you add the litter of vinegar to the mixture. Everything is mixed and then the mixture we have obtained is poured inside a spray bottle.
Later we can use its contents to spray the areas where we want to eliminate weeds. Once this is done, you will find that after a couple of weeks the weeds will completely disappear.
This is a do-it-yourself method that protects children and animals from the chemicals found in commercial weed killers while still achieving the same result.
